Experienced marine taxonomist, Carol Milner, joins BUG as an Associate Ecological Consultant
BUG is delighted to welcome Carol Milner to the team as an Associate Ecological Consultant. Carol joins BUG with over 16 years experience of marine benthic invertebrate taxonomy, including eight years as a Marine Ecologist at the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency and eight years as the Marine Laboratories Manager and Technical Quality Manager at APEM Ltd.
Carol has been involved with several hundred projects and analysed thousands of samples for clients ranging from the Scottish fish farm industry to the aggregates, oil and gas industries. She has also worked extensively with regulatory and conservation bodies, such as the Environment Agency, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs Northern Ireland (DAERA NI), SNH, Natural England and Natural Resources Wales.
Carol has been heavily involved with the NMBAQC committee, both for SEPA and then as a participant’s representative. She was also involved in the running of the benthic invertebrate component from 2014 to 2016.
