Chris Packham's Bioblitz comes to the River Lab, and BUG was on the fish trail

BUG’s Adrian Pinder and Andy Harrison spent a sunny day at the River Laboratory in East Stoke on the River Frome, attempting to record as many fish species as possible for Chris Packham’s UK Bioblitz.

A total of 14 fish species were recorded on the day using a variety of direct capture and observational methods, and Adrian and Andy were able to discuss many fish conservation issues with Chris and the Bioblitz team. Below are a selection of photos from a very successful day.

BUG’s Adrian Pinder and Andy Harrison were assisted by Jessica Marsh and Emma Smart. We used many different techniques on the day to record as many fish species as possible.
